Before & AFter
- Avoid the use of aspirin, motrin, ibuprofen, warfarin or other anti-inflammatory/blood thinning medications for 1-2 weeks if okay with your primary physician. These medications can increase the risk of bruising. For mild pain or headaches, Tylenol is preferred.
- You may have some side effects after the procedure that include: small bumps from product delivery, redness, tenderness at injection site, possible bruising. Small percentage of people get headaches, use Tylenol for relief.
- The ideal time to schedule this procedure is at LEAST 6 weeks before a big event.
- Reduce alcohol intake to avoid increase swelling and bruising.
- Do not exercise or sweat after receiving any form of tox (botox, jeuveau, dysport, daxxify or xeomin).
- Do not wear makeup for the rest of the day to avoid risk of injection at injection sites
- “if you are pregnant, please cancel your appointment as receiving a neuromodulator during pregnancy is a contraindication. If you are lactating, please consult your PCP before making an appointment.
- Please come to your appointment with no foundation, makes your appointment faster and decreases chance of infection. I do provide makeup wipes if you need them.
Pre- Appointment
- Avoid alcohol intake for the rest of the day
- Do not exercise or sweat after receiving any form of tox (botox, jeuveau, dysport, daxxify or xeomin) for the rest of the day/24 hours.
- Do not wear makeup for the rest of the day to avoid risk of injection at injection sites.
- You can not recline, stoop over or lay down for at least 5 hours after injection so plan according if your appointment is later in the day.
- Any type of massage or harsh exfoliation motions on your face could move the product so avoid doing this for 1 week post injection. Feel free to wash face with a cleanser, be gentle around injection sites.
